Thanks for all your cool questions asking about my book "Cry Little Sister of Shangrila" which is an on going effort with the hope of completion late Sept. as it has taken on such a life now, where it truly is starting to have that exciting rush of passion, thriller edge, suspense & the over all feeling of powerfulness that will fill your imagination in the best way, well! That's my intention anyway. We're hoping to release the film within the year of the release of the book.

That date of book release set for June 2010, which is now getting very exciting as we are looking at some very strong actors & actreses to play the parts of these powerful individuals who make up the cast of my book.

Between recording my new album (yet to be titled) & writing this book, I have yes! very full on days.

To answer the questions about the new album, is it going to be darker than the last one? Well some of it will be and some will be deeper in a pop way with a significant amount of edge. Someone heard a few tracks & said Foo fighters meet Radiohead. I don't know, I just write it & perform it. Release date is November '09. Oh Fangoria, Oh Fangoria! L.A. What looked to be a potentially slammin' gig last Friday night at the Fangoria opening night party for GOLD ticket holders, somehow ended up being a BIG Ballroom with little fanfare & small turnout. Mind you no one knew we were performing until days before.. But with an amazing Fango fashion show put together by her Mistress KATONIC & I mean AMAZING! you would think this would have been a major turnout..

I love the Fango folks & I tend to roll with the punches, having said that the next day when I was signing autographs SO many people were coming up to me saying how disappointed they were that they didn't know about the gig as word of mouth said we ROCKED IT HARD! & it was AMAZING & Ya should of been there!!

Hopefully we can make it up to ya'll that didn't get to catch our show (which were a good thousand fans) next time as Fangoria staff were great & we'll be doing it again in the near future with all of you. Look for some film footage on You Tube soon of the night that wasn't or sort of was.

Nine Lives & the Valley of Temptation Heat

In the early morning subtle light through the mist in the valley of Temptation Heat, where Sister Shangrila's Blind Boys were still searching every abandoned rural cottage, underground majestic mansions of this former valley of hedonistic pleasures & pains, would they find her wickedness Nine Lives? still in hiding after 2 years hanging on to what she built & that was destroyed by the very religious cult that positioned her to be the martyr & answer to what she was born to be, that of many lives that would reign over all that is pure. As the Blind Boys could only visually search through the very dark night, finding no trail, nor scent of Nine Lives left behind, they returned to Shangrila to sleep off the night of a scrutinised search.

It is often being thought that Nine Lives fled to one of the castles of Blue Masquerade where she found refuge, however tale was that with all her powers of immortality & beauty, it was not enough to persuade Blue from imprisioning her in torture for letting Temptation Heat lose its position in the world as a rewarding place for his friends & soliders to spend days at a time in the pagan lifestyle that keeps mortal men & women intrapped to the daily lives under his rule that was dread & seeped in paranoia.

Interesting how in the middle of being creative & dealing with all the days events of approving performances we'll do, merchandise deals, interview approvals, and taking hits from folks out there saying "What's up with you & that Corey Haim dude? You don't need him. Why are you doing that?" Or the other one "What's he doing with you, THAT'S CREEPY YOU 2 GUYS!" on & on & on... & YES there are those who get it!

Most of these people have not got a clue as to the others in life that are NOT celebrity status that I have taken my time in helping get their lives back. But of course that wouldn't be much to GET CREEPY about now would it? I'm not going to take up this blog time justifying these wasted empty notions. "Human life in stuggle is worth the task in helping the good that still exists in them"

(G Tom) Guess ya'll want to know what we're up to, so here we go.. Got this "Lost Boy Found" reality show that is a positive move in the direction of Corey making the final step into what I know he WILL make happen, that of course KEEPING IT CLEAN! for life! Yes, temptations along the way throughout the series, so tune in & support him. Some say I'm crazy for doing this, as I hate reality & exploitation shows, but I want to see him find himself, as there is a lot to this LOST BOY!

(Corey) As I am staying, as of today, clean & sober my real party is just starting in life, & I've gotta tell ya it's such a trip to see life with clear eyes! Having a support group is much needed & reaching out to help is essential. And it's amazing how fast Karma works!

(G Tom) We have also committed to do a worldwide tour of Horror conventions & other gigs where I will be performing my show of songs (yes "Cry little Sister" too) & Corey will join us on stage to sing his staggeringly sultry version of "People Are Strange" & a new song he & I wrote called "Mend Me". Corey also does a blistering rap over BOX OF FANTASY my new single from my album..

The Beauty & Dracula’s BALL!

Consider it the bash of all bashes. I had to apply the beauty to my opening here, as the people of this Philly region really bring it on, just the way I like it!
Glammy & gothtodeath! & this G Tom Mac featured night (under my real name Gerard McMann, as seen on the original Lost Boys movie soundtrack)
was such a quick one, but worth the 3000 miles flying in at Patrick Rogers (promoter extrodinare) request.

YES! to do yet another unplugged version of "Cry little sister".!

Opening up for me were the "Medievil Baebes" who are the delight of any where they turn up to perform.. I was so wickedly honored to have them be the backing vocals of choir in the chorus of my song.
Despite having had a really bad cold and lack of sleep, YOU the fans made my night. & the few of you I got to meet & do some signings with was true blood brilliant.

Oh, to who ever that MAD MAN who attacked Patrick as he was escorting me to the stage right before I went on.. What the F%*# KKK got up your demon ass!
& my new friend Patrick bloody well held his own.. too much bad sucking I suppose. Anyway, another experience in the many of G Tom Mac.

Best known for his song Cry Little Sister, the theme from the 1980's cult classic Lost Boys, G Tom Mac has never stopped making music. Cry Little Sister was revived and recut for the remake of Lost Boys, and G Tom Mac shows that he's never stopped writing/recording his brand of wonderfully quirky guitar rock. Born with the relatively mundane name of Gerald McMann, G Tom Mac is the synonymous name for singer/songwriter McMann and his band. Coinciding with the release of Lost Boys 2, 2008 sees the release Thou Shalt Not Fall, perhaps the best work from G. Tom Mac to date.

Box Of Fantasy is an angular delight that has an other-worldly quality to it. You could probably have great philosophical debates about just which musical category it belongs in. G Tom Mac has more than just guitar up his sleeve though. Check Out the 2008 Cave Club Video Mix of Cry Little Sister, which sounds like it might have been reworked by Trent Reznor. The Conversation has a bouncy piano base that is an apt contrast to G Tom Mac's melancholy love song.

Most of the time G Tom Mac is fulfilling his eighties rock legacy. Songs like Wish You Well, You Are and All The Rage would have been thoroughly at home in the early days of MTV. Perhaps the most intriguing track on Thou Shalt Not Fall is Under Your Skin, which opens with a grand pipe organ in major chords and evolves into a raucous jangly guitar rock gem. Thou Shalt Not Fall closes out with the original recording of Cry Little Sister: a bit of musical memorabilia to remind the listener for all that has come in between, G Tom Mac is still true to himself.

Thou Shalt Not Fall is a recording of opportunity for both G Tom Mac and the listening public. For G Tom Mac its a platform to re-establish himself in the music marketplace after a period of relative obscurity. For the consumers of that same marketplace it's an opportunity to get (re-)acquainted with a talented songwriter with a quirky nature and an irrepressible ability to find that perfect hook. Thou Shalt Not Fall may not be a classic album, but it's certainly a memorable one. G Tom Mac is back.

Monstermania brought me together with the Corey’s at separate ends of the venue; we had never met back in the day when we all made Lost Boys.
Corey Haim & myself had some brilliant exchanges of respect before & after we did the Q&A's; never write this guy off! For all the shit he's put himself thru along with what life has put him thru, he is a good spirit.
Corey Feldman & his wife were absolute top class at its best! We spent some solid time up in their suite talking about life, families, and just over all positive motives in all.

Catch you all next time regarding my possible involvement in ABC series show "LIFE on MARs", doing music of course!
My Cry Little Sister bonus video on Lost Boys: the Tribe seems to be getting majorly approved by you all!
Since its release most of you have indicated it bangs some new blood in its new rocking'/indust. way. Some still prefer my original version for many different reasons; hey I'm thinking to make a music video of my original version for Lost Boys 3. How would that be for a bonus??

Coming off Monster Mania last weekend, have to say was a highlight of my year! playing my song "Cry little sister"
acoustically (which I've only done a few times on radio interviews) but never to the massive fans which were all out that night in full!
It was nothing short of bliss playing my song to you all in that ballroom, & the crowd was amazing truly!!!
Doing the Q&A was great, sharing the stage with my Lost Boys- Corey Haim, Brook, & Chance.
Some great questions & some wicked answers to say the least.

Looks like we'll be doing this again sometime soon.. as you know, if you can't "sleep all day & party all night"
you'll only grow old with fear!

In closing, great meeting all of you that I met.. Wow.. what cool mad fans I have!

“Lost Boys the Tribe”, My actual first time seeing this movie in it’s entirety at Comicon in San Diego making its premier last Thurs. night.How did it work for me as the song writer & original performer of its theme song Cry little sister? Was I destined to hate it because of its straight to DVD release? Not really, I understood the reasoning why Warner Bros. designed it that way. Didn't agree but understood.In short I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I'd be, in this TMZ, beyond fast food, disposable time we live in re: most everything. Lost Boy:The Tribe lives up to some folks idea out there of a party movie, get a keg of beer or bloodymarys and let the Blu Ray play, & that ain't always a bad thing.I'm proud to have written a song that was attached to the original Lost Boys that was truly the place where horror, humor & my song filled a place to connect these brilliant elements.“That kind of lightning strikes once!”Can't explain it, don't dissect it, let it be what it is. The beginning of what will always be remembered, discovered & realized as timeless.As for Cry little sister in the new movie? It works and God bless any artist that takes a shot in covering my song.In closing, what I can say is these new Vamps may sleep all day & party all night, but I think I had a lot more funsucking up! -Gerard

I'm pleased to announce, not only having my song CRY LITTLE SISTER...Theme from the Lost Boys, appear in the movie covered by the Seattle band AIDEN, but to give you my "brand new" music video of Cry little sister we filmed especially for the BONUS on the dvd! It's MAD WICKED!!
Something of a "sleep all day party all night" REMIX we did of my song that we call the CAVE CLUB MIX.
It gives you all a glimpse of what we do LIVE! for real.
You'll be able to download this track starting July22nd.

Next up -the OFFICIAL RELEASE of our album "Thou Shalt Not Fall" online, in stores, and downloadable July 29th!
The album features Cry little sister Cave club mix as mentioned & my full original remastered version from the original soundtrack the LOST BOYS.
The album also features my song "I SEE YOU" theme song form the movie I SEE YOU dot COM a Warner Bros. release Sept. 16th.

Tony & myself are gearing up to do some gigs in the LA area over the summer, so those of you in LA come and share in the outrageous & be part of our world for the night. DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED.

Hey! To all my Cry little sister.. Theme from the Lost Boys fans! My original version with a bit of a twist will appear on the Lost Boys the Tribe DVD as a music video bonus.I went and filmed this video with a top notch cinema DP & a fantastic film crew, for the soul purpose of making what I've always thought the music video should be in it's true to the fans & culture spirit of my song & the movie -- "Sleep all day party all night" if you will. We did a video of "Cry Litle Sister - Caveclub Mix" and the Warner Bros. folks (powers that be), they loved it. They asked to put it on the DVD as a featured bonus.

For any & all who have reservations about this new sequel or whatever you want to call it, we all gotta give it a shot and then judge how cool this may or may not be.

One things for sure I know I won't be letting anyone down with my best effort in my little bonus contribution. That you can count on!

Clips from this video are on all our sites and a variety of T.V. entertainment shows i.e. Extra & all viral. Check it out.
